THE BIG TIME ELUDES YID VICIOUS YET AGAIN, A SERIES, PART 6

Yid Vicious, being good civic-minded Wisconsinites who revere the progressive legacy of Fightin' Bob LaFollette, volunteer to play klezmer music for a function celebrating the 100th anniversary of the magazine he (LaFollette) founded. On hand at the ceremonies are several renowned writers, activists and thinkers. Among them are a film celebrity who has enjoyed some success first acting in films, then directing and acting in films, then founding and running an influential and snowey film festival as well as occasionally acting and probably producing as well. Certain that THIS at long last will be their big break, the various members of Yid Vicious put together the screenplays they've all been working on and steel themselves to deliver their "pitch" to the film celebrity. At the event, the film celebrity is nowhere to be seen. During Yid Vicious' prelude performance, he is cloistered in a makeshift "green" room, access of which is denied the public. When he comes out to give his talk, he is surrounded by large, burly men who quickly spirit him away after the event. No one in Yid Vicious is allowed to make their pitch, and movie deals remain beyond their grasp.
