THE BIG TIME ELUDES YID VICIOUS YET AGAIN, A SERIES: PART V
July 2008: Yid Vicious plays at the wedding of a man who is the brother or something of a different guy whose wedding YV played in July 2005 who works for Downbeat Magazine. As of this writing, Yid Vicious has still not appeared on the cover of Downbeat.
CD UPDATE: Plus, we're working on a cd; you know, one of those old-timey silver audio circles. We did the recording during the course of a three-day, lost weekend in June when it was raining really hard because remember, Yid Vicious makes the rain. Now it's being mixed and we're hoping to have it all wrapped up and finished before the end of the year. As we breathlessly await it's completion, there's one important question on the lips of our minds: WILL the big time elude Yid Vicious yet again???
However it turns out, I think the new cd will give the listener a pretty good idea of what we sound like at this point in time, our sound having changed somewhat since the last cd. For instance, we now have a bunch of accordians and tubas, things we were lacking before. And we still have a tall guitar player, but a DIFFERENT tall guitar player. And, also, plus...musical growth, probably. In fact, that will no doubt be the title we choose: Yid Vicious: Musical Growth, Probably!!!
So look for Musical Growth, Probably!!! at finer cd emporiums in time for the (winter) holidays. Or if you're in the mood, come hear us play sometime IN PUBLIC and for a ridiculously small fee, you can take the band home with you in the form of the afore-mentioned shiny disc. Okay!
